Driveway & Paving FAQs

Answers to the questions we're asked most about driveways and paving.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a new driveway take to install?
Most domestic driveways take between a few days and two weeks depending on size, the surface chosen and any groundwork or drainage needed. We'll give you a clear timescale with your quote.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes — our block-paving projects are backed by a 10-year guarantee. We'll confirm the guarantee that applies to your specific project in writing.
What is printed (pattern-imprinted) concrete?
Printed concrete is hard-wearing concrete stamped with a pattern and colour of your choice while it's still workable, giving the look of block paving, cobbles or stone in one seamless, low-maintenance surface. It's our national award-winning speciality.
Do I need planning permission for a driveway?
In many cases no, provided the surface is permeable or drains to a soakaway rather than the road. We'll advise on drainage and any permissions as part of your quote.
Which areas do you cover?
We cover Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Somerset from our base in Frampton Cotterell — see our Areas Covered page, or just call to check.
Do you take on commercial work?
Absolutely. We've delivered commercial paving and groundwork on shopping centres, churches and even film sets, at any scale. See our Commercial page.
Is a quote free?
Yes — all our quotes are free and no-obligation. We'll come and measure up and talk through your options.
